Fall 2024 Sessions

Classes start September 3

PSAT/SAT Course

Sat: Practice test (every other week) 10:30 am-2 pm 

Sun: Class 2-4 pm

Whether you plan to take the SAT this October, November, or December, you will see immediate results with our SAT Intensive program, where you’ll get hands-on practice on real SATs and master proven strategies to ace each section.

Online 1:1 SAT

In this results-oriented course, students will learn the most essential strategies for maximizing their scores. Topics include handling time pressure, speed reading, MCQ strategies, and identifying the common patterns in “trap” answers. All materials are drawn from real SATs over the past five years, ensuring accurate and timely information.

College Application | Seniors

We help students proactively manage the new normal of college application, including dealing with test-optional policies, maximizing success through the early round(s), planning letters of recommendation, and drafting compelling activity descriptions and essays. 

College Planning | 6th-11th

Our comprehensive college counseling services help students identify their passion and college dreams, and pursue those goals with strategic planning and perseverance. Counselors help students manage the timeline, explore leadership opportunities, and engage in extracurriculars.

AP Economics Group | Sun 3-5 pm

Our AP Microeconomics and AP Macroeconomics are designed for students who are taking or planning to take AP Microeconomics and/or AP Macroeconomics.  Students will be prepared to take the two AP exams in May 2024. As the May 2024 AP exams get closer, the classes will include practice AP exams, revisions, and test strategies to improve scores.

AP One-on-One

With the cancellation of SAT Subject Tests, AP exams have become more important in college admissions. Students must score 4's and 5's to demonstrate their mastery of the subject matter. From math, and science, to languages and humanities, our expert tutors help students enhance their understanding of the subjects and ace the exams.

Competition Prep Classes | 3rd-12th

Participating in competitions helps students flex their intellectual muscles, deepen their passion in their chosen field, and help them stand out in college admissions. We offer private and group classes for prestigious math, physics, computer science, economics, psychology, and writing competitions. Students are challenged to develop exceptional talents and encouraged to push to the limits of their academic abilities. 

Private tutoring | K-12th

As standardized testing is being relied upon less, student GPA has become more important. Our tutors are graduates from prestigious universities such as Columbia and Berkeley and are recognized as experts in their respective fields of study.  Through years of tutoring, they have developed a deep understanding of the teaching practices at the local school districts and their teachers.

Advance Math Club | 4th-8th

4th & 5th graders: Tue 4:00-5:30  pm 

6th-8th graders: Wed 4:00-5:30 pm

This program, taught by graduates from Columbia and Penn, is designed for students who aspire to a higher level of math skills. Some of our past students were awarded the “Top Independent Scorer” award on Math Field Day or Math Count competitions. Recent achievements over the past academic year include three Perfect Scorers in MOEMS, two Honor Rolls on AMC8, and one AIME qualifier from AMC10.

Phonics/Early Reading | K-1st | Fri 3:30-4:30 pm

Research has demonstrated that understanding how letters relate to the component sounds of words is important in reading. Systematic phonics instruction leads to higher achievement for beginning readers and prepares them for early reading success.

Young Writers Book Club | 2nd-7th

2nd & 3rd graders: Tue 4-5 pm

4th & 5th graders: Fri 3:30-5 pm

6th & 7th graders: Wed 4:30-6 pm

This club provides students with interesting, high-quality books they might never have read. Students will also practice writing, brainstorming, outlining, and editing based on the club reading materials. Participation can be online or in person.

Online Dynamic Essay Writing | 6th-11th

6th/7th graders: Fri 3:30-5 pm

8th grade and up: Sat 1:30-3 pm

This online class teaches the fundamentals of academic writing, with a focus on persuasive and analytical essays. There will be an emphasis on literary fiction, though nonfiction and poetry will also feature. Students will learn to identify themes and subtext, analyze characters, and discuss their relationships and goals. They will practice commenting on literary devices such as symbolism, metaphor, allegory, irony, and satire/social commentary. In this class, students will prepare for the writing competition as well.

Greek Mythology | 4th & 5th

Sat 4-5:30 pm

In this class, students discover why myths were created by many of the world’s ancient civilizations, and explore how mythology appears in contemporary literature, film, and other media today. Students explore the art of storytelling, discuss mythology, and examine oral traditions as they experiment with creative performance, and gain a deeper understanding of literary and dramatic themes. 

1:1 ISEE/SSAT Prep | 4th-8th

This program is designed to help students who plan to apply to private schools for the 2025-2026 school year. Students will learn key study skills and test strategies, build vocabulary, and strengthen reading comprehension. 

USACO - Preparation Program

Join our USACO preparation group and personalized one-on-one classes today! Our program, led by MIT/Columbia/USC experienced instructors, covers Bronze to Platinum levels with tailored lessons and live practice sessions. Benefit from interactive learning environments, mock contests, and personalized feedback to boost your competitive programming skills. Many of our students have achieved top ranks and university admissions. Whether you're a beginner or aiming for the USACO camp, our proven curriculum and dedicated support will guide you to success.
